TIPS ON HOW TO PROVIDE THE RIGHT LIGHTING FOR YOUR HOME OFFICE

Working from home is a new reality for everyone. Good lighting is important when it comes to designing a home office because it improves overall focus and concentration levels while working. A bad home office can cause eyestrain or headaches, especially if you work long hours. It is recommended to create a good lighting design by combining ceiling lighting, desk lighting, desk and ceiling lighting. Here is a guide to the different types of light you need in your home office.

NATURAL LIGHT

Positioning your desk with the window in direct sunlight on the side of the desk rather than behind it can cause light and shadow to appear on the computer screen. When the sun is at its strongest, tulle curtains, blinds, adjustable blinds, etc. attach shading. The great thing about lighting is that it can illuminate a home office during the day and help conserve energy. Natural light also improves the health and well-being of users because sunlight is one of the best sources of vitamin D.

AMBIENT LIGHTING

Ambient lighting is general lighting that provides a balance of light between ceiling-mounted and wall-mounted luminaires. If the home office is an afterthought and the head lighting is not enough, it is important to make the lighting at home.

TASK LIGHTING

Add a matching desk lamp to your desk for bright, focused lighting. Choose a desk lamp with a dimmer to control the light level for activities such as reading, writing or working at the computer. Remember that functional lighting makes the home office very attractive as it improves concentration and reduces eye strain. If the table is small and there is no place for the lamp, then you can choose a floor lamp. Make sure the desk lamp or floor lamp is on one side of the table to avoid shadows or reflections.

ACCENT LIGHTING

The includes accent lighting to give the home a smart and stylish look. This can be done by installing decorative pendant lights above the table or by installing wall-mounted standing lamps to highlight certain areas of the home.

UNDER CABINET LIGHTING

If your home office has a ceiling, consider under cabinet lighting. Install LED light strips or energy-saving fluorescent lamps under the product.

TRACK LIGHTING

Install track lighting on the ceiling of the main office. You can adjust the angle of each lamp and use it to illuminate different areas of the home office.
